In a rhombic and flat plot of around 21,500 sqFt, in the north of the city of Merida, is located K'inam, a group of apartments whose first stage is completed and inhabited.

The design is aimed for a young (of age or spirit) user, who follows his own way without copying or accommodating to styles or repeated forms until exhaustion. It does not look for the replica of the typical or familiar house but spaces with character and own expression, casual and practical.

In K'inam the spatial organization favors the encounter between the inhabitants and the discovery of different scales, perspectives and environments, without detracting from the privacy and intimacy that each one requires.

As a consequence of the arrangement and configuration of the volumes, the shadows and penumbra in apparent calm, although always changing throughout the day and the year, they are marked firmly, contrasting with the constant oscillation of the shadows projected by the leaves of the trees in rhythmic movement to the sound of the local breeze.

The texture and color of the set are the result of the expression of the materials that are expressed, pristine and sincere, without the need for masks or makeup that pretend vainly to hide errors and imperfections.

Emerging from the volume itself, slender concrete eaves complemented by shaded mesh membranes, permeate the outside view and let the dominant winds pass through, previously cooled and humidified by the surrounding trees while leaves out the tropical sun.

Towards the interior and contrasting with the envelope, the contents are smooth and sensual impregnated with vibrant colors that reflect their warmth in the rooms and bedrooms, bringing joy and comfort to its inhabitants.
