(Foto: Lara Becerra) Philosophy Dellekamp arquitectos designs and develops contemporary buildings with a fresh design approach. We shape distinct architectural environments, which reflect a synthesis of each client’s needs with the specific circumstances of site, program and economics. While always immersed in contemporary discourse and historical art, architecture and urbanism practices, we call upon our network of innovative partners including artists, designers, environmental experts, engineers and builders to shape each Project. We engage these other fields as experts on design and we are interested in how design thinking can inform these other fields. We try to begin each project without a preconceived idea of its outcome; we deliberately allow for outside influences to shape the design. The goal is that the work achieves a wider relevance by adapting and synthesizing these externalities. In order for design to stay vital, it must address these issues and treat them as opportunities for authentic cultural expression. Recent work has allowed us to interact closely with sustainability issues and landscape design. We believe that these aspect of design as well as an urban perspective should be a priority. Our interest in urban scale has made us have a separate office with two other architecture firms that share this belief. Together with Rojkind architect and mxa/Tatiana Bilbao we funded in 2003 MXDF Urban Research Center to help our own investigations have a more integral approach to the sites we are working on as well as investigating the intricate urban reality of Mexico City. The opportunity to design a Environmental educational Park in Chapultepec, the Central Park in Mexico City and host to it’s most important Museums and Entertainment Centers has permitted us to interrelate this different disciplines in a significant scale. The progressive approach to form and technology has made us a recognized team specializing in the relationship between design and construction. We deliver transformative spaces while grounding the foundation of each project in precision and efficiency often absorbing complex site and programmatic constraints to create singular architectural environments with unexpected atmospheric conditions. |
